리익까 꿉살라는 현재 뚜르꾸 B-galleria 의 디렉터를 맡고 있다. 뚜르꾸 응용과학대학 (Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences)을 졸업했으며, 주로 여성의 몸과 외모에 대한 사회적 기준이나 이상과 반이상에 대한 개인적이고 사적인 영역을 탐험하는 작품을 한다. 현재 사진, 애니메이션, 비디오 등 여러 매체를 가지고 작업 중이다. 

Riikka Kupsala (b. 1981, Ruukki, Finland) is a visual artist and the chairman of Nykykulttuuriyhdistys Suunnitelma B ry (Contemporary Art Association Suunnitelma

B). She graduated as BFA at Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences in May 2017. In her artistic work she explores the relation between the individual and society through her personal items and performatives. One question behind her artworks is how social norms, particularly ideals and anti-ideals about the feminine body and presence, can reach an individual’s private space. Currently her main focus has been in using still photography and drawing as material for animation and

video. She had a solo exhibition named To Be Seen at Köysirata Gallery (Turku) in April 2017. Earlier her works have been on display in several group exhibitions e.g. at the Seinäjoki Art Hall and Nelimarkka Museum in Alajärvi.
